College accommodation – Bed & Breakfast

Rutherford standard single room – £25.75 per night

Tyler Court single en-suite room – £39.50 per night

Standard Rooms have a wash hand basin. The toilet, shower and bath are shared between 6 rooms. Linen, towels and tea/coffee making facilities are provided in all rooms above. Serviced daily.

 

Park Wood Flats – Self-catering en-suite single rooms

£24 per person/per night. Linen, crockery and cutlery is provided, towels and tea towels are not provided. Serviced twice a week.

 

Park Wood Village – Self-catering houses

5 Person House – £90.75 per night

6 Person House – £119.00 per night

Linen, crockery and cutlery is provided, towels and tea towels are not provided. Serviced once a week.

 

Check-in

On arrival please report to Rutherford, Tyler Court or Park Wood Reception for your room key. Check-in time is from 2pm and rooms must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

In the case of cancellation prior to Friday 28 May 2010 all fees will be refunded subject to an administrative fee of £50. No refunds will be given for cancellation after this date.

The University’s accommodation

The University’s accommodation has been awarded a 3 star campus rating, with Purchas Court in Park Wood achieving a 4 star rating from VisitBritain. One feature of the standard is that the key areas of the accommodation, in terms of cleanliness, hospitality, bedrooms, bathrooms and breakfast, must be of an equivalent quality to the overall rating awarded. Parkwood Accommodation
 

Kent Hospitality provides housekeeping, catering, bar and retail services, manages the residential accommodation throughout the University campus and operates conference and events business, making use of the facilities throughout the vacation periods.

The department has 250 full and part-time employees. After achieving the Investors in People award in August 1999, Kent Hospitality has received re-accreditation of the award in March 2002, November 2004 and July 2007.
